Looking for decendants of JAMES GREEN HARDY b. 1795 VA d. 1856 KY. He was the LT Governor of KY 1855-1856. I have a cane that belonged to him and was presented to him in 1856 by a James G Hardy of Sacremento, CA. I assume that may have been his son but I do not know. I am interested in selling this cane and felt that it might be of some value to his family. Eddie Hugh

MATILDA HARDY, born 1796 in Virginia (per census records) and died 1887, East Huntington Twp, Westmoreland County, PA. She married Thomas Fleming (1798-1878) of Fayette County, PA and they raised their family there in Tyrone Township, before moving in 1853 to East Huntington Twp with some adult children moving there too. Thier children were: Eliza, Charlotte, Tilman, Thomas Jackson, Robert, Elias Estep, Abraham Trevor, and James. all born btw 1822 and 1838 in Fayette County, PA) Looking for any info on Matilda Hardy.
