Looking for info on CHARLES SUTTON b. c1807 d. 1875 NZ m. 1831 Surrey to a widow, Elizabeth Tuffs nee Cawthorne, who was 25 yrs older then him. They had a son, Charles b. 1833. The Sutton family came to NZ in 1845. Noeleen Sutton

8/18/2005 - Looking for info on ELIJAH KENT SUTTON b. 1756 Sussex Co, CT d. 1831 MI m. Dec 1779 Hannah Voght d/o Gen Stoffel Voght. He was a soldier in the Amer Rev & served under Gen George Washington transporting baggage etc.
I'm missing maybe 2 generations. George Washington Sutton b. c1800 Naples, NY m. Lucy Lovisa. They had: William R b. Wallace, NY. I believe there were some brothers, one may be named Owen. G.W. Sutton moved with his family to Bath, NY where I believe he resided until his death. The family is buried in Bath, NY. I also think that other family members moved to Michigan around 1800 (fuzzy date) and they were all very musical and played many instruments. I have more info on G W Sutton. Children: Alanson, Fanny, Diantha, Hattie, Thomas, Diantha, and Albert removed to WI 1851 with widow Mother: Matilda Ann Courter Sutton b. Eddyville, Cattaraugus Co, NY d/o Jonathan Courter & Elizabeth Thompson of Bergen, NJ. The early SUTTON & COURTER children are married and removed to Gratiot & Ionia, MI in 1845-51 era. Please Reply. Looking for info on VALENTINE SUTTON b. c1806 KY. He settled in Washington Co, MO c1837, then relocated to Houston, Texas Co, MO purchasing land 1853. He married a couple of times, first, it is believed, in Knox Co, KY then again in Washington Co, MO to Eliza Peterson. That union produced John Bell Sutton of Houston, Texas Co, MO. John Bell Sutton also married several times; but, it was with his union to Myrtle Alice Haught-Dobson/Dotson that Edward Larwood Sutton, was born to. Edward L Sutton is the twin of Fred Sutton. Edward m. Cleo Desda Logue (d/o William Calvin Logue & Alta Mae Gilmore, also of Houston, Texas Co, MO).
