ANN DURANT m Thomas CORPREW. Children: John & George. Does anyone have any info on descendants of either of these 2 sons? I descend from Bathsheba(Barbara) CORPREW, who m. Thomas JONES of Blounts Creek, Beaufort Co, NC. Thomas d. c1796. There are several of us working on the CORPREW lines, but no one has found a link to Barbara's parents. Sherill

My grandfather EDWARD DURANT b. 1920 immigrated to Australia with his family in the 1950's. His siblings were: George William b. 1915; Daniel b. 1916; Ann b. 1918; William Henry b. 1919; & Charles b. 1922. They were all born in Bermondsey, England - I think it's the London area. Their parents were George DURANT & Annie TOOMEY. George b. c1884 in Chelsea? Annie b. c1895. Annie remarried after her husband's death to an Alfred FEARNE - no children to this union. All George & Annie's children immigrated to Australia in the late 1940's & 1950's. This is all the info. I have at the moment. Thanking you. Jennette Jenkin

LOUIS DURANT a French Canadian trapper-trader went into Mississippi Territory in 1700s. There he married a Choctaw woman named SheNeYah. They had several children including a daughter named Syllen. Syllen married William TAYLOR, a white man. They had children named Alexander, Elizabeth, Jack, Jackson, Solomon. It is believed there were two other girls. William left Syllen and his family and Syllen took her children to Indian Territory (OK). Would appreciate any information regarding these children. Carl Phillips

SYLLAN (or Sillen or Cillen) DURANT m. William TAYLOR. Syllan d/o LOUIS DURANT, a French-Canadian Trapper who came into Mississippi Territory m. a Choctaw woman c1800. Syllan and William had several children before William left her and went "west". Syllan later took her family and traveled to Lukfata, Choctaw Nation, (OK). With her were her children, Solomon, Jackson, Jack, Ellick (Aleck), a married daughter named Elizabeth and a grandaughter named Emeline or Eveline who was not Elizabeth's daughter. It is believed that Syllan had two older daughters before 1830. Need info on these girls. Carl Phillips
